   Always love coming here and enjoying walleye. This time it is fried solid and slathered in sauce. Presentation could have come from TeeJays Coyntry place.

   Ours was waiter William and barter Nick were fantastic!! We had such an enjoyable time. Food was great, only reason I gave 4stars vs 5 stars is because I asked for rare plus cook on my ribeye and it came out medium rare…more on the medium side. It however was still very good and William did offer to have a new steak cooked. Other than that, everything was wonderful

   It took so long to get our order. The burger was sloppy wet and the fries were burned. The braised beef hash had a huge piece of meat in it. Not chopped up for a hash dish

   Something has changed with the restaurant and not in a good way. The menu definitely changed with my favorites removed-grilled cheese and tomato soup and the spicy pasta, replaced with over priced steaks and things like eggplant parm. The food also has changed. It’s not very good anymore. The Brussels sprouts were bitter, salads nothing more than lettuce and dressing, and the Mac and cheese was runny. We requested a quiet table as I’m a bit hearing challenged and the hostess ignored the request. My wife actually heard her say to her partner that it’s Saturday night and we are going to honor that, even though the place was only half full! We definitely are taking 1808 off our rotation. Sad…it was a good place to eat.

   Third time eating at this restaurant in three years. Unimaginative menu. The ribeye steak at $42 was advertised as 16 ounces but wasn’t. It was cooked well but served slightly warmer than lukewarm. Table cloths are no longer used so worn wood sticky table surface. Service was okay but slow. Caesar salad dressing was an embarrassment. On a good note, the scallops were good and served hot, as were French fries.

   This was my first time at 1808 and it definitely won’t be my last. Great food, great service, just an all around great experience. The filet medallions were tender and prepared perfectly.
