Please join us at 740 Front in Historic Downtown Louisville. Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar.
The bar offers a selection of craft beers, wines, handcrafted cocktails and an extensive craft bourbon selection.

Have been a longtime guests here, but my last two visits have been really disappointing. This most recent trip was by far the worst in terms of service and quality. We sat for almost 15 minutes before anyone greeted us at our table and our drinks took almost another 15/20 minutes to come. They actually came after our appetizers were brought. Service throughout the night was sporadic and slow. The worst part was the steak - I have long loved the steaks here but something was very off. There was a strong, sour smell and flavor to my steak that was so unpleasant I could barely eat it. I know they put a garlic/parsley combo on top of their steaks which is usually delicious, however this was unbearable and made me feel quite ill.

Great local spot with really nice atmosphere and impeccable service. Bartenders really know what they’re doing, they make a mean martini.

Had bad luck on a New York steak but everything else was fine, but they were very nice about it and there's no big problem. Great ambiance at the place!

Best filet ever. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Add the $22 buck Mac and Cheese for a treat for the table. You won’t regret it.

Our first experience at 740 Front Street on New Year's Eve left us a little flat. My dining partner and I each had a cocktail with an appetizer we shared, we each ordered an entree with a glass of wine, ( all of which was good) and with a tab just over $200 we went home hungry. The portions were small. If you order a steak, all the sides are ala carte, which I realize is par for the course these days, but when you pay premium prices it's nice to be served generous portions that even allow you some leftovers to take home. Everything else was fine, but just not the special dinner we were hoping for.

Party of 5 had dinner 12/28 and had a lovely time. We loved the atmosphere and it was exactly what we were looking for. Not noisy with stuff clanking around. It was perfect. The front of the house staff were friendly and our waiter was fantastic - attentive without being intrusive and friendly. We ordered the calamari, cheese and spinach dip and mussels appetizers which were all wonderful. Dinner orders ranged from entree salads, hamburger, fish, short ribs and steak and all were cooked to order and delicious. I had been there for lunch several times but this was the first for dinner. We will definitely go back. It was all lovely.

We love to take new friends and out-of-town guests to Front Street. Food and service is always excellent. The ambiance is upscale and quaint at the same time. Highly recommend.

Talon was our server and was amazing. The deviled eggs and oysters were perfect and the orange roughy was delicious. The steak kebabs were tough and overcooked but the creamed spinach was delicious.
