Mere moments from Knightsbridge and leafy Hyde Park just across the road, The Lanesborough is the ideal choice for afternoon tea in London.

Served daily in the majestic, naturally-lit surroundings of the hotel’s dining room, The Lanesborough Grill, afternoon tea is accompanied by a pianist at weekends.

Booked the ‘Bridgeton’ afternoon tea as a present for 2 of my girlfriends. I had high expectations but were left completely underwhelmed. There is nothing “majestic” or notable about the experience. The Service was mediocre as was the food. Never before when paying £98pp would I expect to have the entire contents of the ‘tea’ brought out all at once! Squashed no less on one small table along with the Tea and the Champagne at the same time! There’s little point in bringing out warmed scones to enjoy warm before you’ve even had a chance to take your coat off. They were btw the worst scones I have ever tasted. Doughy and bland. Sandwiches weren’t up to much either and all you could taste from the cakes was the sugar! As for the Bridgeton ‘theme’ aside from some tacky plastic flowers tied around the cake stand and the ‘character naming’ of said desserts there was little reference to the show. Absolutely No style and little substance unfortunately. The Lanebrough itself was ok if a little dated. The bathroom were smelly and unclean. Having had afternoon tea at The Savoy, Claridges The Goring, The Langham to name a few this was by far the worst. The only thing worth mentioning was the potatoe wedges which we had whilst we took drinks in the bar, which we were all grateful for since the tea itself was so bad. Sadly other than this, apart from the company it was utterly disappointing and a complete let down!

I had a delightful afternoon tea experience at The Lanesborough Hotel. The selection of sandwiches and cakes was delicious, but the highlight was definitely the scones – by far the best I’ve had! The staff were incredibly friendly, always attentive, and their smiles made the experience even more enjoyable. A truly lovely afternoon!

Our first time to this beautiful hotel for the Bridgerton afternoon tea. Absolutely beautiful room super friendly attentive staff not rushed, spectacular food. Also so impressed that the tables are not crammed together as in other venues which made it feel very personal and comfortable would definitely recommend you make this your destination you will not be disappointed

Absolutely stunning, very elegant and the Bridgerton Themed Afternoon was excellent. It was a Christmas Treat for my Mum who loves Bridgerton. Definitely recommend 😊
