The service is horrible. We had a 5pm reservation and we weren't seated until 1 hour later. The chef didn't show up until 6:30. The drinks took exteremely long to arrive and they were wine and beer. I'm typically not picky with things but since we had nothing to do but wait we noticed things we usually wouldn't such as the glasses having fingerprints all over, food on the floor and smoke everywhere- the ventilation was so poor. People all around us were annoyed, sitting and waiting on their chefs. The actual chef that arrived was very engaging and skilled but by then we were all tired of waiting. The waiter made a lot of mistakes. My ice cream was served with a fork. I asked for a spoon but I never received it. The place seems to struggle with service.

We had a reservation for 7:00pm and weren’t seated until 7:30. Once seated, we didn’t have a server come to our table for another 10-15 minutes. However, the server we had was very sweet and extremely accommodating! Food was good, but have definitely had better hibachi elsewhere.

A fantastic culinary experience. Our waiter Luis was exceptionally attentive to my needs and even anticipated requests and fulfilled them. The chef Alex was not only thorough but repeatedly cleaned the grill throughout the experience which always makes the food taste better. Really enjoyable experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Our reservation was at 10:30 and we we were not seated until well past 11:30. Extremely incompetent service and poor management. Would not recommend this dilapidated enterprise.

The service was bad .The server kept getting our receipts mixed with someone else’s orders.She was all over the place forgot my drink and got it wrong when it was brought to me it was just terrible . My reservation was at 9:30 pm me and my husband weren’t seated until 10 pm. First time there and I wasn’t impressed.Also our food wasn’t good at all it was rushed and barely seasoned.

Waited extremely long to be seated, once we were seated they took people order who was after us! Then when they did come to take our order we kept being told “give us a min” they brought one glass of water just a Terrible experience

My experience yesterday at this place was horrible 😫 Benihana is one of my favorites especially this one in Short Hills ,but lately they been falling short ,the manager that was on shift yesterday was very Rude ,we waited almost 1and half just for our soup and salad and drinks smh ...I'm need them to step their game up .
