                                                Attentive but not over the top service. Food perfectly prepared and calm, relaxed dining environment that’s far removed from the busier trendy spots downtown. A great choice all around. Thanks to Isabelle for the fantastic service!

                                                This was our first visit to Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant. Our party of 4 enjoyed both the Standard and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Steak and Eggs and the BVR Burger with Garden Salad. We started with Mimosas and a Continental Pastry Plate. It was all delicious with generous servings. Aidan, our waiter was hospitable, knowledgeable and efficient. The only slight disappointment was the noise level. But it’s a popular restaurant. Next time, we may request a table on the veranda.

                                                This is most likely our 11th time here. Our server, for the 2nd time, so glad to see him (Richard) is one of best servers around! Lamb was very very good, we do feel the lamb shank should come back. The porkchop was soooo good, tender, great portion with delicious sauce and the fluffiest potatoes! The beet salad is the best in the city, hands down. Skip the pasta, dry and bland. Bring back ravioli! ❤️

                                                Food was incredible (we had the striploin, lamb, chicken and pork chop) all cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef! We usually never complain, but our server was pretty awful for such a big celebration (no smiles, no conversation, no romancing of dishes or drinks, clearly no knowledge of menu items, brought another round of a cocktail when we said we didn’t another, slow when we were clearly the servers only table). Food runner (not our server) was a very kind young man, very knowledgeable and did a great job romancing the dishes! Had to send 3 drinks back as the bartender didn’t know how to make simple cocktails. Very nice that they comped our dessert for the graduate. Very quiet for a Friday night but a very beautiful restaurant because of its location within Fish Creek Park! Perfect photo op!

                                                We had our anniversary dinner here. Restaurant is in a historic ranch house in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Several rooms available for dining and also outdoor seating. There several large parties around us celebrating special occasions, so noise level was a bit higher but not too much that is was a negative. Staff are extremely attentive and very pleasant. Dana, our server, was fantastic. Highly recommend her. We have food allergies (peanuts and tree nuts) and the staff took this very seriously and adjusted items ordered accordingly. The Chef came out to assure us that everything was okay. A very good menu and wine selection. We had the beet salad and the soup of the day (a potatoe leak volute with maple smoked bacon flavour) to start. Both were excellent - great presentation, good portion sizes and fantastic flavour. We followed this with our main courses - a nicely prepared and presented halibut in a light sauce with vegetables and a fantastic lamb chop dish with brussel sprouts, butternut squash purée and a very tasty red wine reduction. We were thankful that the restaurant does not load up your plate with carbs and keeps the protiennas the focus. For desert we had an apricot tres leche and a guinness chocolate cheese cake -they both were outstanding and were such huge portions that we could have shared just one of them.
