   Although the meal was expensive, the service and food was outstanding definitely recommend for any special occasion.

   An amazing experience, with an atmosphere that took you back to the 18th century. The sweet potato muffins literally melted in your mouth and the pea soup was superb. The use of carefully chosen herbs and spices was appreciated in all the dishes. Service was second to none and Tim, our server, was entertaining and helped us do things in the 18th century way. Topped off with delightful desserts.

   Every aspect of this dining experience was exceptional from the authentic colonial setting to the informative and delightful waiter and the amazing food. Highly recommended!

   Enjoyable evening with food options that lived up to expectations. The history that was explained was a nice addition along with the music. Glad we came. I would highly recommend.

   This is our favorite Williamsburg tavern! The food and drinks are delicious and the service is excellent. We got the crab cakes and the seafood pie. Both were excellent! I also recommend the Monticello spritzer. The spoon bread and sweet potato muffins are also really good.

   We were disappointed in the experience. We’ve been to the tavern before and loved the history lesson we got from our waiter. This time, with new friends who had never been here, we had a waitress who was not very engaging. Therefore no history lesson

   Best crab cakes, fried rainbow trout very good, felt Kansas City Strip was a little overpriced. Loved our waiter Tim, great service and explained menu well.
