We didn't expect the excellent quality and wonderful preparation of the food! The venue is dive bar-chic, but the service, variety and flavor are way above expectations.

One of the best kept secrets in Virginia Beach. Crocs never disappoints, especially on Saturday night, 1/2 off all wines.

A true gem in the heart of Virginia Beach, Crocs 19th Street Bistro delivers an exceptional dining experience worthy of its reputation. On our second visit, the bistro exceeded all expectations yet again, earning a well-deserved 5 stars. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The triple-cooked wings were the best I’ve had in a long time—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. The menu’s subtle Mediterranean touches were a delightful surprise, bringing a unique twist to the dining experience. Add to that an impressive wine selection, and you’re set for a perfect meal. For me, their expertly crafted Old Fashioneds were so good, I couldn’t stop at just one! But what truly sets Crocs apart is the service. For the second time, the staff delivered warm, attentive, and top-notch care, making us feel like cherished guests. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality elevate this bistro beyond comparison. If you’re looking for a spot where impeccable food meets outstanding service, Crocs 19th Street Bistro is a must. From family outings to special celebrations, this bistro hits every mark. We can’t wait to come back!

After returning to the area and anxious to try one of our old favorites, we found Croc's disappointing. The hostess/server was friendly but untrained. But the real let down was the food. Fish was overcooked -- seared tuna was dry. The old 5-pepper tuna, previously filled with bright color and flavor, was consistency of dark, thick molasses with not much more flavor. Crab cakes were a bit better, as was the calamari appetizer. The decadent mashed potatoes of old were replaced with red skin potato wedges that were overcooked and tasted as if they'd been sitting at the buffet line all day. Who knows what has happened to Croc's, a VB icon; it simply missed the mark by a long shot.
