We had a great time. However right at 9 pm. I think this is where happy hour started. the music was turned up to a level that we could not talk normally at the table. it made us want to leave earlier than we would have liked to. We asked the server and she indicated this is normal. I would recommend keeping the restaurant music levels the same as it was before 9 pm. Otherwise we had a very nice evening.

We had the beef spare ribs and also the vegetarian choice (butternut squash and Quinoa). Both delicious. It was a quiet night. restaurant mostly empty. Staff was friendly and efficient. Nice view looking over the lighted pond at back. We will definitely come more often. I understand they have music some nights.

Normally we love the food at state and main. However this time the bang bang shrimp was way over cooked,almost burnt. The server was nice a little slow she would say she would be back in a few minutes and it would be about 10 minutes before she came back.

As usual the food and service were totally outstanding.

First time here and enjoyed the food and drinks! Will be back! Marissa took good care of us!
