A French-Japanese bistro in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. Reservations are always recommended, but we are often able to accommodate walk-ins as well. In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. Took my BFF for her birthday brunch knowing she doesn’t like heavy French food, she thought it was charming, loved our brunch. Our waiter was lovely, fun took very good care of us as did the hostess and we had a lovely couple of hours. We dined outside. They have heat lamps, which were really lovely for a cool Sunday morning. Will definitely go back and my BFF said she tends to bring her husband there as well so overall it was a hit.😛

A beautiful surprise. I didn’t know much about it. I just went there because I was looking for a French restaurant but what a wonderful discovery. Try their snails and boeuf bourguignon. I had them and were delicious!

We always love dinner at Kendall’s. The new menu is delightful and has some great new additions plus a few more vegetable options, which was much appreciated by some in our party. I had the duck confit, which was fork tender and had a good flavor. I did think, however, that it was a bit over salted. But not to the point of being displeasing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our server was so helpful and charming that she put the star on top of the experience. We will be returning soon.
