Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu contains all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. The food is amazing and yum. I loved the Tandoori Phool. However, this time I did not have a pleasant experience with the staff. The lady who greeted us at the top was great and was courteous. Later there was a man who came in and started commenting on how long we were there; made small talk and joked about that they have a vacancy to wash dishes etc. If we are paying for the food and service, I don’t think the waiter had any rights to comment on how long we choose to spend there or make such remarks/jokes. Highly unprofessional. We always come to Chatora and take out as well. We had a lot of food and wine but this experience will make me rethink my visit.

A little expensive but being someone who has had a catering business and has cooked for a double Michelin star chef I have to say that the food was amazing and cannot wait to bring my family for a double birthday celebration on the 9th. The food was fresh and piping hot, extremely flavoursome and beautifully presented. The prawns were just so tender and cooked to perfection. A huge thank you to the team also, so polite and professional. I cannot stop bragging about this restaurant to everyone. Please keep to these standards as they are truly deserving of recognition. Well done to you all. Jaz
