“A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. They serve an array of fresh seafood as well as yummy beer from a local brewery and cocktails. The live band plays throughout the night with a few breaks. After 10 PM they clear all tables and chairs to create a dance floor and this place then really starts to rock! We don't do vegan or vegetarian food. We specialize in fish. Delicious food and very good service. The tables are very close together, so you can feel squashed with other guests. We didn't have the table for as long as I would like, so it did feel a bit rushed.

Well the only real criticism I have is that it was really very expensive although the other criteria on which dining experiences are rated were positive. The first 2 wine bottle selections I made were no longer available but still on their list so minor criticisms (although irritating) lie this take on greater importance when viewed against the main criticism of poor value.

Very original food, we had the prune, the egg, the iberico salad, the crozetto, the flatbread and dessert. Everything was amazing! The prune is served with an incredible balsamic vinegar, and is introduced as you would for a wine. This was already an experience in itself. All the other dishes were so flavoursome and the flatbread is a must-have! The dessert was a rhubarb cake served with a shot of rum, and was the perfect ending to a feast! We will definitely be back
