Absolutely exceptional flavors on all dishes seafood and raw, sampled the Valentines menu and was pleased with the freshness of ingredients, intensity and pairings of flavor, and medium portion sizes given the higher end nature of the ingredients. Servers were pleasant, ambiance was gently lit and spacious, and a big shout out to the lobster-with-ikura bisque, the wagyu tartare, the exceptionally green-tangy-tasting hamachi, and the miso black cod maki that was the best bite of the night.

In Asian cuisine, rice is the essential ingredient in every household, and every respected chef must understand the importance of preparing quality (Kome) rice. Given that a majority of the sushi bar dishes on your menu are based on rice—approximately 80%—it is imperative that it be prepared to perfection. Unfortunately, I have encountered dishes where the rice lacked texture, was underseasoned with sushi su, and resembled congee (for those unfamiliar, that’s porridge) with tinny bites of undercooked as well. This issue has arisen on more than one occasion with my family dining at Oita . Let me be clear; I’m not seeking free food or discounts; that’s not my intention. However, when I’m craving sushi and desire authenticity, I can no longer consider Oita my top choice. The subpar quality of the rice is something that should be acknowledged, as it’s important for restaurants to recognize when customers have valid feedback.

We went on a Saturday afternoon as a party of 7 for my husband’s birthday. The food was incredible; we ordered a big selection of starters, sides, rolls and sharing plates to share between us and loved it all. The staff were smiling, friendly, helpful and attentive without hovering or rushing us. The food was excellent, service was perfect, the setting was beautifully decorated, clean and quiet. Fantastic value for money. We will definitely be back.

Heerlijk gegeten. Mijn man st sushi en ik koos de chicken ramen. Verrukkelijk. Over het concept “ bring your own booze” had ik wel vluchtig iets over gelezen op hun website. En op hun deur hing ook die aankondiging. Maar we kwamen al snel tot de ontdekking dat ze helemaal geen alcohol verkochten. Ook geen sake. Maar geen probleem. Naast hun zit een supermarkt. Daar snel een fles wijn gehaald. In de de supermarkt ontkurkt. Prima tent.,
