There is a lovely cosy atmosphere in this quaint historic place. Staff are very welcoming and accomodating - we had our two young daughters with us. The food was excellent -great quality, taste and portion size. I had kipper croquettes and the chalk stream trout, both delicious. Deserts are always great, plum crumble and Bramley apple cheesecake are highly recommended.

Very friendly staff. Great service and lovely food. But it was just so chilly in there. People were wearing their coats on the next table. Yes it was a cold day, but no excuse for not boosting up the heat.

Dining with girl friends on a Wednesday night so not busy. Excellent food. Great service but not too intrusive. I had three courses and finished them all which I never normally do. I'd recommend it for small or large groups. We will definitely be going back.

The Thatch is consistently the best place to eat in Thame. Not a cheap option but the quality is excellent and the staff are just brilliant. You get what you pay for and a full restaurant, mid-week, shows that others must agree.
