Hornero abre sus puertas en Tijuana el 12 de febrero del 2009 bajo la idea de adaptar el estilo de hacer pizzas más antiguo (el Napolitano), al paladar tijuanense. Por eso Hornero ofrece más de dos docenas de pizzas diferentes en su menú, desde la clásica Margarita hasta innovadoras combinaciones, como la pizza de Camarones Enchilados o la de Mole Poblano.
