Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. This is a great neighbourhood find. Nice ambience and good food. Service is friendly. The kitchen is unreasonably slow which let's the whole side down. It shouldn't take 30 minutes for starters to come or close to 20 for dessert. I'll come back for the food in the hope that this weakness will be rectified.

The distinctive flavours in every dish were memorable & in great combinations. The second batch of dishes (4/5 items) all came at once - which was a surprise - and would have been more appreciated spaced out. No taking away from the great tastes though!

They have recently changed their menu and there weren't as many choices as before, also it looks like a more generic Thai restaurant than the Thai fusion which we knew of. Still, the food was tasty and we are glad that the 'complicated noodles' were still there!
