Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. Lovely local restaurant with fantastic food and wonderful staff. I go with friends occasionally but this time with elderly parents and it was every bit as good. Light and bright, good atmosphere but not noisy!

Booth seating offers privacy and elbow room. Skylight conservatory back half is light and bright. Free deep fried egg rolls with lunch bowls and drink ( including wine or beer) set lunch was good value. However, I specified no spring onions and got some.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, very welcoming hosts! The overall experience couldn't have been better. Both all you can eat options (sushi and tempura) were absolutely delicious and without the usual limitations (time and quantity) provided by other restaurants of this type. Highly recommended!
