The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. My sister and I went to Blacklock to celebrate early christmas. Sirloin was great and the sides were impeccable especially the chips. The cocktails were delicious too, I highly recommend Caribbean Whisper
