Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. There’s also a 20-seat private dining room. We use only the finest ingredients such as Japanese Black Cattle made in Australia for beef, Sashimi and Seafood fresh from the sea. We were there for a friends birthday lunch. The service was great, I believe the person looking after us was Kara. Really friendly, helpful.food was amazing, as was the wine choice. I was a little worried at first that we would be in the wine cellar. Was not sure if it would be too small, but it was actually really nice. We have been there before and definitely go back.

Had a wonderful experience at Rengaya Burwood. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to take a photo of the table reserved for us and messaged me in advance to ensure that it met our expectations. Since we were celebrating a birthday, I requested a slightly bigger table, and they kindly accommodated my request. Their consideration made our celebration more special. Highly recommend this restaurant for the excellent service!
