In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. We made reservations and we're seated 15 minutes early. My breakfast was delicious. I had the maple bacon stuffed French toast. Service was great.

Aura is a wonderful addition to the Long beach Barrier Island. The food is quite good , the service is attentive and friendly. On the night I was there, Wednesday 11/27/24 the music at the bar was great but to loud for dining and talking comfortably. BUT !!! I will definitely be back 3rd time last night and really enjoy the restautrant

We had a sausage and escarole appetizer which was heavenly. My husband ate a pasta special, he thoroughly enjoyed. I had St. Peter’s fish, as usually it was excellent. The staff is friendly, the owner visits tables to ensure you are happy with your meal. Thanks to all who work at Meta!

Had a wonderful dinner sitting at the bar this past Sunday night! Our bartender Darren was extremely attentive and courteous. The pork chop with red cabbage and the pot roast entrees were awesome. Enjoyed also the flourless chocolate desert. We will be back again!

Incredible experience from beginning to end. From the friendly and attentive staff to the unique bar creations and the delicious fare. This is the second of many trips to Felicia’s. Looking forward to trying brunch. Bravo for getting everything right!!
