Have been to the chequers several times and this was the best meal I’ve ever had there. I had mussels for a starter - a huge portion and went for the Cornish Market fish for my main. It was sea bass with kale and samphire and the most delicious crunchy roast potatoes. It was in a lemon/cream sauce. It was amazing. Passion fruit cheesecake to finish. Also very good. Staff were very attentive. The front of house staff are a credit to the establishment. Great place and to see the pub bar area so busy with locals was fantastic when you see so many pubs closing down.
