White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. Staff was attentive and on top of things. Food was excellent. Gumbo tasty and deconstructed chicken pot pie delicious. Would go again.

I am concerned that my credit card was not charged for the total amount including the tip. I called and was told the tip would be charged to my card in several days. That does not seem appropriate.

So excited to have gotten to try out Downingtown's newest food venue! Can't say enough about the whole experience! The food was delicious and our waiter was great! We sampled their cobb salad/risotto/ pizza and seafood dish. All had their own spin and take- highly recommend this newest gem but get your reservation in early as they book up for regular table times!!

DK is a favorite, especially wonderful for special occasions. The many small dining rooms are lovely, fireplaces cozy, and bar bright and lively. Tonight’s dinner was beautifully presented, the flavors wonderful: scallops with shaved Brussels and bacon jam, filet mignon, beet salad, cappuccino chocolate truffle dessert, and as always pop-overs with lemon curd. Service friendly and professional. Top Notch!
