Priding ourselves on our motto ‘Famous for fish’ Smiths Restaurants is a name that has become synonymous with fine dining and quality, attentive service. Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge). Both restaurants boast an extensive menu of fresh fish that we offer to cook in a variety of ways to suit every palette. To compliment the quality of our food we have worked closely with well renowned independent wine merchants to ensure we have a selection of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to every meal. The only problem you may have a Smith’s is being spoilt for choice.

This is always a lovely stylish restaurant to visit. Lovely on Valentines night not to have a restricted menu or be told we want your table back in 90minutes which happens elsewhere. Starters of scallops and ham hock were delicious. Mains of steak and duck were very generous. I couldn’t finish the duck , perhaps would have liked another vegetable on the plate. Desserts again, Large! Nice to have the addition of a live singer too.

Always fantastic. The server obviously had experience and training - available, but not intrusive. All food was delicious (squid noodles, lamb belly, poussin, sea bream).

The food was very nice and the staff were very friendly. One small thing is that I feel the drinks should be included in the price as we had quite a bit of credit left over that we didn't spend as we couldn't eat any more but still had to pay quite a lot for our drinks
