Within a beautiful Subiaco heritage building, a new neighbourhood wine bar has entered the scene on Hay Street. In the 1920s, the building was home to a provisions merchant owned by husband and wife Emily and Charles Lums. Their shop, EA Lums & Co, was a place for locals to grab quality ingredients from a family-owned shop. Wow, the food and presentation of the dishes was outstanding. We loved everything we tasted - oysters, scallops, A5 Waygu, croquettes - All were so delicious. Cocktails were great too.

We had a delightful experience at Sushia Izakaya! The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the ideal setting for our Christmas celebration. Sushia Izakaya exceeded our expectations, and I can’t wait to return!
