After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. Originally built in 1518, the building was the very first Guildhall in Windsor which was the meeting place for the Trinity Guild (the town traders) which since the 13th Century has provided the governing body for the town until it was turned into an inn & public house in 1689. There has been a pub on this site for almost 500 years and is one of the oldest establishments in the town, only a few of which are still standing.Located on Market Street, The Prince Harry is only 50 metres from Windsor Castle. We are proud of our part in Windsor history and continue to provide a traditional pub environment amongst the cobbles of the old town next to the historic Guildhall.Our menu includes traditional British favourites and all food is freshly cooked on-site, served from 12pm, to 5pm.We serve a fine Sunday roast until 6pm and we advise booking a table so that you can enjoy our traditional hospitality. The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

This is our second visit to Gilbey's and it was just as good as our first! We enjoyed the 3 course set menu and the food, service and value for money were all excellent. Gilbey's is really cosy and welcoming and looked especially lovely decorated for Christmas. Great range of drinks and wines too.

A unique little restaurant with a good vibe. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Mains were reasonably priced but sides felt expensive for the size portion (red cabbage for example). The meat eaters enjoyed their mains (pork belly/chicken supreme) but I wouldn’t recommend place for vegetarians. Only one main (celeriac steak) that really wasn’t very nice. I’ve been vegetarian for 25plus years and don’t consider myself picky but I couldn’t finish it. I would go back if the vegetarian options were improved/more diverse.
