August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. For a last minute booking we were spoilt for choice! The staff there are amazing and so hospitable! If you’re looking for a low key calming dinner who serve great food this is the place! The pork belly was definitely a hit! Thank you for accommodating me and my family! We thoroughly enjoyed our 1st Christmas Dinner experience and we’re glad we did it with you and the team! Will definitely come back! HUGHLY Recommend!

We loved everything about this dining experience. The setting is a small converted timber church with a soaring ceiling, pine floor, starched white table cloths and simple bentwood chairs. Food is perfectly balanced and creative. Stand out for us was the pickled fennel fritters and the mud crab omelette. The food was quite rich, a more French style and for 2 of us we opted for 6 smaller dishes and desserts and didn’t have a main. Extremely happy with this choice. The drinks are interesting, natural, earthy choices rather than more classic wines, but were delicious.
