Antica Bologna ha sido un favorito en Northcote Road por más de veinte años -bastante tiempo para el negocio de restaurantes en Londres- y es todavía original y emocionante como el día en que abrió sus puertas, pues evoca imágenes de osterías perdidas en pequeños pueblos de la campiña silvestre en la región de la Emilia-Romaña o las ondulantes colinas de la Toscana, con su animada bienvenida propia de un antiguo favorito familiar. El chef Marzio Zacchi creció en la zona rural de Piamonte en el seno de una familia que criaba gallinas, cosechaba sus verduras y curaba su propio salami, por lo cual defiende con firmeza el uso de productos frescos locales. Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order.     Excellent and friendly service from the staff. A nice relaxed atmosphere too. All the dishes of food were well presented and tasted delicious! We will be returning to The Wattenden Arms to enjoy their breakfast this Sunday.

    Fantastic festive menu - the cod dish was sublime! Although, there was not a bad dish in the entire meal. Portion size spot on and definitely worth going for the wine pairing. As ever service was impeccable and with a smile. Looking forward to the new year menu

    Excellent service from the very beginning. We had booked a table, but when we arrived, we were given the choice to sit further into the restaurant away from the door. Pedro was very helpful with choosing wines, providing an at table tasting service. The food was all delicious, as were the drinks. All of the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. There was a good, lively atmosphere without being too noisy, and our table were all able to easily converse with one another. A really wonderful afternoon!
