When booking a table in the evening, please be aware that we are a residential home and as such we ask that guests depart the restaurant by 09:00pm and have consideration for our neighbor's when leaving.Please be aware when visiting that there is a security gate on entry, the code for which is written on the gate, you will need to exit your vehicle to input the code. You will find the Pavilion restaurant next to the main house, opposite the Mews Houses. Ample parking available.Please be aware that our disabled lift is currently out of order. The Plough isn't your average countryside pub. Sitting on a quiet lane in a quintessentially English village, The Plough was set to be sold off the developers when 120 members of the community came together to invest, and save, their local. After its purchase and renovation, the Yates family took over the kitchen and opened the pub's small, but proud, restaurant, Bowleys. Head Chef Alex Yates is still very early on in his career but though only in his early twenties, he has already spent two years in the kitchens at The Goring Hotel in London, as well as having gained experience with Rick Stein and even once cooking for the Queen. Bowleys menus have a traditional feel and adhere to classic, English fare with a fine dining twist. There are several options to choose between including a tasting menu, set lunch, a la carte, brunch and Sunday lunch. The tasting menu is the jewel in Bowleys crown and consists of five courses, with an optional sixth.

Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. Not been for a while, and booked the brasserie. The staff from the moment I walked in, I could not fault - they were friendly and efficient. Starters, there was a good choice, well presented & tasty. Mains - ribeye, was well cooked. My wife had the sea bass, which was ok, but a little underwhelming. Desserts - sticky toffee pudding lived up to its name ! Again the lady waitress was excellent, friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back.

Really lovely meal. The steak was cooked perfectly. Very nice and warm in the restaurant. Really liked it and nice touch with the dessert for my mums bday

Beautiful setting. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was amazing, highly recommend having some bread to start. We didn’t have a pudding as we were full but they looked amazing too. Highly recommend. Be aware to get to the restaurant you have to go through private estate gates. Just go up to them they have the code on them. (We didn’t realise this and drove to three sets of gates )
