El Mamakas es una elegante taberna griega con capacidad para 85 comensales situada en Ossington Avenue. Su propietario, Thanos Tripi, sirve auténtica cocina griega elaborada con productos frescos y platillos clásicos de la gastronomía griega con un enfoque contemporáneo. Todos los platillos se elaboran cuidadosamente para recrear los sabores de infancia de Thanos y ofrecer a los comensales una auténtica experiencia griega a través de la comida, la música y el arte. El salón comedor imita la forma de un mercado al aire libre y cuenta con columnas de acero de color blanco con efectos similares al estuco. La taberna Mamakas utiliza principalmente productos frescos del mercado, como tomates, para rendir homenaje a la historia y la memoria de Grecia. La paithakia se elabora con carne comprada a un carnicero de confianza y el pescado del día procede de capturas frescas. Las recetas usadas en la cocina han pasado de generación en generación. Focaccia with Maple butter and baked Brie (plant based) with crostini were excellent starters Dinner was Rigate Gigi, Mushroom Truffle Agnolotti and vegan Salmon (3 ppl) All dishes were fantastic Dessert was the Chocolate Orange cake which was delicious Will definitely be back 😀👍

Mamakas never disappoints! This restaurant really has it down packed, from the food to the service and ambiance, I would give more than 5 stars if i could! Soooo goood. Well done team.

The antipasti we had was an off-menu carciofi alla romana, with a slightly-too-subtle negroni, and a very proud luxardo special. Fantastic pastas, we had the agnolotti al funghi and it was truly sublime—velvet texture and big flavour. The secondi was grilled branzino, impeccably prepared and served with a perfect salmoriglio. Service was fantastic, paced well, with solid recommendations from our server. Well above average, overall.

Great experience, we were celebrating our anniversary and we got welcomed with the anniversary bubbles on the house which was amazing. The service, food, and the wine were on point.
