Fantastic restaurant, food was amazing and the staff are very friendly , they looked after my party of 15 very well

Great service; welcomed when first came in, and very helpful from then on. The pub ambience was very welcoming too with roaring fire in cosy bar areas. Food - old favourites and some more interesting options - and beer ( ales, lagers, low alcohol and normal strength ) were great too.

We enjoyed a very nice meal for two on a Monday lunchtime. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly. The ambiance inside was lovely and the food was great. This was our first visit and we would not hesitate recommending the Chequers to friends and family. Thanks to the team for making a memorable birthday!

Awesome little restaurant! I've had breakfast/brunch several times and never been disappointed. (Very dog friendly.)

From the moment we opened the door on a dark, windy, and wet night, and saw the warm light streaming out, we knew we'd made a good choice! Friendly staff, good food, dog friendly, and an all-round welcoming atmosphere.
