We chose to dine here for a birthday celebration lunch. The service was excellent (thanks, John) and the food did not disappoint. The cod sandwich and salmon salad were the favorites at the table. Albeit a tad pricey, the portions were huge, the presentation top notch and the service was excellent - we were not rushed and even comped a dessert for the birthday girl. I would go back

We’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and it’s always been one of our favorites. We’ve even introduced many people to it. However, we had a disappointing experience this time. The service was low, especially since we were waited on by a particular server for the second time. While he wasn’t particularly friendly to us, he was quite friendly with other patrons. As for the food, it was also disappointing. Our appetizers were overcooked, our sides were cold, and the fries had to be sent back because they were barely warm and tasted like they had been reheated. Unfortunately, the second batch was not an improvement.

I saw your review pop up on my phone and wanted to send you a quick note to apologize for the experience that you had with us last night as it is not the norm for our guests. For everything that can go wrong in this business, proper customer service, a pleasant gesture, and a smile, should be something expected. So much could go wrong...that should be one of the guaranteed deliverables! I will discuss this with this server the first chance that I get, as this is unusual for the service he normally provides. Went to celebrate a birthday. Great experience. The steaks were delicious. Restaurant had a nice ambience. Service was great as well.

This was my second time at Fire & Oak and it was even more delicious than the first time we went. Food came out so fast, our server was so nice and I was so excited to return. Will definitely be going back as often as I can!

We sat in the main dining room this time. Lots of families, kids, noise. We were only 6 people but it was a small reunion for our cousins. Our waiter Oliver was fairly patient…. as we passed the second hour a waitress came up and, in an impatient and abrupt voice, interrupted our conversation to ask if we wanted desert. We definitely stayed longer than the post-Covid restrictions call for but I don’t find that to be as relevant as they would like us to believe. The calamari and meatball apps were delicious. The burger, salmon, ribs, chicken caesar with chicken and swordfish were all cooked nicely and very tasty. We’ll be back and would recommend Fire & Oak to friends and family.
