Excellent meal and facility. Love the small area in which we were seated. Everything we had was delicious! Deviled eggs, gumbo, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, cherry-chocolate martini, even the chips. We make a 1-time per year trip to State College and always choose to dine at Gigi’s.

Gigi’s is a popular restaurant and deservedly so. The restaurant decor is fun, the service is excellent, & the food is very good. From biscuits to crab cakes to blackened steak, the South rose.

The baked Brie was cold and the bread served with it was cold in the middle. We both ordered soup and it was almost refrigerator cold. They melted the cheese on the French onion but everything underneath it was extremely cold, the 3 croutons were not enough for this type of soup. The gumbo was also just as cold. We ordered the crab cake dinner, they were just barely warm which was a shame because the crab cakes were delicious as well as the Louie sauce. The green beans were hot and delicious. The rice was cold dry and flavorless. I make red rice all the time and this was not red rice. It might have been some form of dirty rice but it was not good. The server was gracious and did get warm soup for us. The meal was truly a major disappointment. I don’t like to leave bad reviews for any establishment but this was really one of the worst places we have been in a long time. I hope they accept this criticism as constructive and fix their delivery. For the $100 bill we were VERY disappointed.

We ordered a blood orange old fashioned for $14. There was one huge ice cube in the small glass and it only took five sips to finish. When we told the waitress, she agreed that it was a rip off. We tried to order mashed potatoes as a side, and we were told they were out? The salmon had rice and no vegetables for $34. I do have to say that our steak and salmon were cooked well and were delicious. The drinks are over priced, service is fair, and the meals should be better balanced for the money.

We were there on a Sunday. Reservation at 2 pm. Half the menu was not available. Food that we did eat was cold. Appetizers were very good. Not sure we would return. There for my daughters birthday and was asked why we were there on line when making reservation and nothing was ever said or addressed.
