El restaurante Grünauer es de estilo clásico vienés clásico con influencias de centroeuropeas, alemanas y húngaras y especialidades internacionales. Peter Grünauer, el cocinero jefe, su hijo Nicolás y su hija Elisabeth abrieron Grünauer en mayo de 2010. Peter es de Austria y sus hermanos todavía regentan su restaurante familiar en la región Neubau de Viena. An excellent and unique dining experience. Hard to find quality Austrian/ German/ Hungarian cuisine but Grunauer knocks it out of the part and is consistently excellent

This restaurant is truly a haven that elevates your dining experience from the moment you step in. The servers are exceptionally warm and helpful, making you feel right at home. We've had the pleasure of dining here twice, driving all the way from St. Louis, and each time has been nothing short of extraordinary. The food is a symphony of flavors, the beer selection is impressive, and the desserts are a masterpiece. This restaurant is a shining example of excellence, offering unbeatable value without breaking the bank. We can't wait to return and experience it all again. It's a truly fulfilling experience that leaves you inspired and wishing every dining experience could be this exceptional.

Excellent menu selections, with prices ranging from reasonable to “OMG how much?” Great service from Madison, on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Food presentation excellent, but we’ve had better pork schnitzel…

We have been coming here for over a decade and it is, hands down, our favorite restaurant in Kansas City. Anytime someone is new to KC. There are 3 places I take them, a Jazz Club, a BBQ Joint, and Grunauer. I know many of the servers, and it’s always nice to see the owner in the restaraunt. We miss some pre pandemic menu items, like The tiny cut frittes with dipping sauce for one, but it’s nice to have that memory. The pork schnitzel with red cabbage and a side of parsley potatoes are a shared order, every time. The Biedermeier has evolved over the years, last night it was much more vermouth and Amaro forward. But if you like a Manhattan - it’s YOUR drink. I do miss the days when it was made with Bookers and had more of an orange flavor. But, with the 4 roses last night and giving it time to settle in and melt the ice, it is a formidable adult beverage. I came to the conclusion that a decade of consistency in a specialty drink is a large ask - and when removing the comparison. I enjoyed the drink. Apple strudel with a side of ice cream and the Meinl coffee to finish. It’s hard to get a better place to take your favorite person, slow down, and have a love pat to your tummy.

Best German food since well, sitting in a small restaurant in the Black Forest of Germany. Had a cocktail with beet and kraut juice. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. Amazing.
