It was my birthday and they didn’t have a candle for the dessert or sing happy birthday to me. He actually didn’t even say happy birthday. The waiter just plopped the desserts down and walked away. He said they don’t have candles. It’s a huge resort I am surprised they could not get a birthday candle from another restaurant there. In addition there was one waiter for the entire dining room; which meant he was overworked and we waited for long periods of time without service and with dirty dishes lying around. Someone should’ve been sent over to clear plates and wipe the table down. There were bussers standing around doing nothing. I was also surprised we had to box our own leftovers. The dinner menu had a raw bar, I really wanted shrimp cocktail and they would not allow me to order it for lunch. In addition my steak came with truffle fries, which I didn’t want, I wanted regular and my husband wanted truffle fries with his. Instead of the waiter having the kitchen serve us the fries we would like - he told us when our food came we should swap them ourselves. I dined with my husband and 3 small children. The kids meals took entirely too long to come out - Especially since I ordered them first so I could try to keep them occupied. My steak was tough to cut. It was a $250 birthday lunch and very underwhelming.

The new look of the restaurant was nice, food was good but not over the top great! I’d go back and sit at the bar. Server was attentive and friendly!

Our server, Ishmael, was excellent. He was attentive, well versed in the menu and exhibited the perfect balance of interaction. We ordered from the handheld portion of the menu. The food was just ok and we thought it was high priced for what we got. Food presentation was average and nothing special. Dessert was excellent and was the highlight of our meal. We would return to sample the entree menu and would definitely get another piece of that chocolate cake!

We loved the loaded chips, our drinks were great and the fish from the fish and chips was fantastic. The short rib came in three pieces and one was cooked perfect and melted away perfectly, while the other two pieces were severely undercooked to the point it was hard to cut them. Our daughter loved her mac n cheese and it was so nice of the waitress/kitchen to accommodate her request for a side of avocado.

Waitress was fantastic, new bar scene very inviting and drinks were great. Food - steaks are not good quality for the price. Bone in Ribeye was a half inch thick if that and bone was the size of an index finger. American Wagu was grainy, hard to chew and definitely not worth the price. Fries were old, dry and cold. Wedge salad was fair and as expected but it’s hard to screw up a salad. Chicken wings and Carrot cake were the best part of the meal.

We had enjoyed going to this restaurant many times before when it was "Harvest at Hotel Hershey" and loved the meals we had there. This was our first time since it reopened under the name "1933 Restaurant & Tavern at the Hotel Hershey" and we both felt that the food was not up to par, compared with our numerous prior experiences. Specifically, the ribs, my "go-to" favorite, tasted fine (I love the chocolate barbecue sauce) but were not nearly as lean nor as meaty as I had enjoyed there many times when it was Harvest. I should have sent them back but didn't want to make a fuss. Instead, I am hoping that the ribs that I was served were not the norm and may give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again at some point. However, the peanut butter pie was just as amazingly delicious as it always was!

Food was amazing. We are there after enjoying the gardens; our server (I apologize for not recalling her name) was attentive and very nice. We were able to sit on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere. Shout out to Chris for indulging my request to check if a mason working near us needed water - it was pretty warm in the sun. They also acknowledge our anniversary with two chocolate covered strawberries which were delicious. All in all, a very pleasant day in Hershey. It didn't disappoint in the least.
