The food was delicious, although some of the food on the menu, in my opinion, is ridiculously overpriced. I stuck with the crab cake appetizer and a side of carrots. Both were plentiful and delicious. Dessert choices are standard for Hershey area. Service was good but not excellent. It’s a nice place, but not one I would say I have to go to again.

This was our first time there. I had the filet and my husband had the swordfish. The food was excellent! The dessert was just as good. Our waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be back.

The whole experience at 1933 was outstanding. I would highly recommend people eat at 1933. The food was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful!! :) it's very clean!! :) the staff were nice and professional!! :)

Well, I think the draw of a place like this is the ambience…primarily the views, and historic setting. When we were sat at a booth that had no view I should have spoke up immediately. It was not obvious as we walked to the table because while standing we could see the views, but after a bit of a wait (even though it seemed like there were not that many seated), once we sat the walls of the booth would provide such an isolated experience (maybe nice for a business luncheon, but not as much for a family vacationing). If there had not been other tables with views that seemed available, it would be more understandable, but it seemed like we were the only ones in the restaurant that could not see a window from our table. The service was adequate, and seemed to meet all our needs in taking orders, filling drinks, delivering food, and providing containers for leftovers)…but I might call it a little robotic. Not really any personality or friendly interaction. Maybe I was just shocked that the seater and our server couldn’t care about our experience. The food was good, but just about what was expected for the price and the cuisine (pub food). I imagine few go out of their way to seek out this location because they heard the food or service was outstanding…it seems like it is all about the ambience…given that it was summertime, the fireplaces were not the cozy draw they might otherwise be in other seasons. Since we were there for lunch rather than dinner…the Sun was out and we he views were amazing, if I you could catch a glimpse of them. I suppose dinner would be different if it was dark outdoors, where you are seated might not matter. Anyhow, I am sure for most this is a fine place to grab a good meal…I just couldn’t help but think our circumstances led to it falling below our expectations after someone suggested a visit. I wish I had spoken up and asked for another table, but once everyone was into their robotic routine there seemed to be no opportunity to.

The ribeye steak was amazing! So tender and flavorful. My daughter loved her fish and chips and my son loved his chicken dish and Mac n cheese side. We had a wonderful experience at 1933!

The meatloaf was reheated, likely seared in a pan. Mashed potatoes were great but such a tiny amount. Roasted vegetable of cauliflower was seasoned with a citrus flavor that didn’t match the meal. Dessert was fabulous.

We had a wonderful meal at 1933. The She Crab soup was excellent and the mussels were very good. I read some mediocre reviews about the steaks, but mine was perfectly cooked and quite flavorful. The mushroom side dish was great. Overall we were very happy with the food. Service was also excellent. The steaks are very expensive, but the rest of the menu is reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Overall, it was a great evening.

I went for lunch so didn't experience the full range of the menu, but the Soups were excellent as well as the salads. I would like to try it again for dinner.

No vegan or plant based items on menu, even if marked that way. Very disappointing. The previous Restaraunt, Harvest, was great and very food inclusive.
