Johnny's Italian Steakhouse® West Chester is the first and only in Ohio. The restaurant concept began in Moline, IL with a few very important elements in mind, great steaks, hot music, hot Italian, and a cool place. And that is what you will find when you join us at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse®. Johnny’s is a steakhouse complimented with a rich Italian background featuring traditional and innovative items and a superior wine list.

The classic interior is reminiscent of the supper clubs of yesteryear. The sophisticated design of the restaurant is welcoming and warm; the illuminated lighting creates an air of mystique and privacy. The classic sounds of Sinatra, Dean and Sammy Davis, Jr. as well as contemporary crooners like Michael Bublé and Harry Connick Jr. surround the restaurant and infuse an aura and rhythm all of it’s own.

The food quality is definitely not the same. We used to dine here quite a bit and it’s apparent that the food is cheaper and of lesser quality than years ago. My chicken piccata was so tough and dry I couldn’t eat it.

The food was good. I really liked how they season. The steak waitress did not know much about drinks though so I definitely be working on that but other than that, it was good time.

When we went, there was a loud, obnoxious group. We were 1 of only a few tables in the entire place. We were seated right away and got waters. We were given bread (which was good btw). That was the last time we saw our waiter in 20 min. Many times the server would walk by and/or who we thought was the manager. Very slow service. Place was nice though and people did seem friendly, when we talked.

My son and I each ordered the fillet. Both were cooked perfectly and they were both tender and very flavorful. The board potato was one of the best I’ve ever had…crisp skin and melt in your mouth moist inside.

Easy choice. Skip Johnny’s. Salad was drowning in sour dressing. Inedible. Beef Wellington was well done, but served “medium rare” per the standard. Tasty, but overcooked. Bartender doubling as waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Not difficult considering there were 4 tables in use during the entire visit at 6:30 on a Saturday. Should have known better.

After placing our order for an appetizer and our entrees. After waiting 30 min, our salads came out before our appetizers. 10 minutes later, our appetizers came, 10 min after appetizers came,our entrees came out. We did not get a chance to enjoy our food because everything seemed to come out at the same time. The kitchen needs to work on time management.

We had a 7:00 reservation, it was New Year’s eve so the restaurant was exclusive to reservations only which is why I can not understand what happened they knew how many ppl were coming at each time slot so the breakdown that occurred in all areas is insane to me it was a huge failure on management. We got sat 10-15 minutes after are 7:00 reservation because the hostess was running food and was not greeting guest arriving, 30-40 minutes into our dinner time no one had visited our table I went to the bar to get our drinks was told to have a seat she would come get them from us later learning she’s the manager. Now let me say there were about half the tables in the restaurant empty. Within about 5 minutes a waiter came he was overwhelmed and new to waiting but we worked through it with him. We ordered drinks, apps and dinner. We got salads had to ask for bread it was dough, one hour into service still no drinks, 5 minutes after salads apps And dinner at same time no drinks, we ask about drinks again he goes to bar we get one of four. We stop someone we think is a manager, she’s events manager at this point we’re over an hour into our dinner experience with no drinks all courses of food at same time and it’s cold, she stops and says I’ll have dinning room manager come over now we watch the dining room manager stand at the bar and conversate with multiple guest while guest from inside are walking up paying bills and 20 minutes later she has yet to come over to speak to us. Sends us a I’m sorry bill of $80 when we ask for the 1st manager we spoke with to come back over the dining room manager comes over and then wanted to know what the problem is. Most unprofessional customer service experience I’ve ever had. The food was not good and throwing her 18 yr old new server under the bus was over the top for me because I feel like she was responsible for the ship and she hide the whole night.
