   Great ambiance visually, disrupted by smells, moldy or mildew unfortunately tainted our arrival to what is otherwise a great, well designed restaurant. Service was not enthusiastic as I would expect for a resort area destination. Food was good, well prepared and presented. I would give it another try.

   Overall opinion: Mostly an overpriced disappointing menu in a nice convenient space. My first dining experience in Ogunquit before a show at the Ogunquit Playhouse, very convenient with good parking and multiple nice dining areas. Jonathan's had a special Newfoundland-themed menu for the Playhouse's "Come from Away" musical besides its standing menu. Great idea!!! I'm Franco-Americaine so Quebecois versions of these dishes are familiar. Newfoundland pea soup starter was quite good, but $12 for a single cup of mostly yellow split pea & root veg purée with a square of corned beef. Cod au gratin had ~8 ounces of nicely cooked cod in a bechamel, but no detectable mustard flavor or cheese topping. Overly forward with tarragon, would have preferred more traditional thyme, savory, or dill. Grilled lemon was nice. Menu-standard julienne veg was mushy. Mashed potatoes were OK. $42.50? Service was OK, not particularly attentive in a fairly empty room, but solos often encounter this experience.

   We had an outstanding experience at Jonathan's in Oqunquit. We were presented with a card acknowledging our anniversary. That was a very nice touch. Our server was great helping us navigate the menu even with dietary restrictions. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. This was our first time to Jonathan's, but it will not be our last.

   The food and service at Jonathan's is always exceptional. We even enjoyed a drink and oysters at the bar before our dinner. Great ambience too and so easy to get to from the Ogunquit Playhouse!

   The dinner was wonderful. Food was top quality and service was attentive and efficient. Our window table allowed us to enjoy both to the fullest. Will return and recommend

   On a very busy night it was still great! Great food & great service! Oysters, schnitzel & mussels. Yum!

   I was hoping for more. The food was just ok. Gluten free rolls were rock solid. Steak was very fatty and the blueberry cobbler was very disappointing. I could have done better at home. Server seemed to be new and not at all knowledgeable or happy to be working! Unfortunately, wouldn’t go back.

    The crab cakes were good with the slaw on top. At first, I ate them plain, the slaw is key and brings out this delicious flavor. I wish there was more of it. The chicken marsala was okay. It needed more seasoning. I understand inflation. However, the meal prices are very high for chicken that wasn’t like a “wow, this is incredible” meal. Jonathon’s has always been a place that means something to us, as we went there after getting engaged 23 years ago. The champagne, on the house, was a nice touch for the birthday we were celebrating. Edith was wonderful.
