   One of our favorite restaurants in South Florida. Excellent Dover Sole. Never had a bad meal there.

   Best wait staff and food ever! The menu has so many items and fantastic specials. It’s a must when you are in Boca. It’s an older crowd which is great for us.

   My wife and I had an early dinner here. Our service was very attentive, but I noticed it slowed a bit as the restaurant got more crowded. My wife had the shrimp scampi. She liked it but commented that the salt level was a bit high. The shrimp were huge and more than half of the dish went home with us. I had the mussels Paulette as an appetizer. It was very tasty, much like the traditional moules with white wine and shallots, but with cream. I then had the Gazebo salad, which I thought was great. It’s comes with very fresh Bibb lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, and heart of Palm, plus other veggies. The vinaigrette was very light and complimented the salad nicely. I then finished with the Dover sole fixed the traditional way in a meuneire sauce and filleted table-side. It was wonderful. I’ve seen other reviews where people commented that the Dover sole was too crispy or not crispy enough. They had obviously ordered the almondine preparation. Don’t do that. The fish came with green beans, mashed potatoes and a carrot mash. The green beans were cooked perfectly but not very hot by the time they got to the table. Others have complained about this, but I don’t see how they could cook the green beans properly and then keep them warm without over cooking them while they’re serving the Dover sole. At that point, both my wife and I were done. But, then our waiter brought the dessert tray. There was one item on the tray that the waiter had a hard time pronouncing, but I knew exactly what it was. It was profiteroles, my favorite dessert and one I have not had since the last time I was in Italy. Obviously, I had to order it.   The waiter brought two spoons, and I had to fight with my wife to get my fair share of it.  All and all it was a very pleasant evening.

   The escargot was okay if you like them in garlic and butter. The lobster bisque was great! The spinach salad was large enough to share; pretty and tasty. The calf liver and onions were excellent. The duck was good but, too dry. The keylime pie was great!
