Loved the menu and food at La Marca. Lively, restaurant with about 15 small tables. Urban, Berkeley vibe. Definitely going back. Paella was excellent and more than enough for 2 people. Brought home leftovers. Recommend.

We made a 1:30 reservation for 3. As we wanted to pre-order the paella, I called ahead, twice, and was greeted by a charming voice bot that understood little beyond taking a reservation. (Isn’t that what Open Table for?). I then sent an email to the address on their web site. No response. Once inside, we we seated, and had wonderful service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about Spanish wines. Ordered the Paelle, which they warned took 30-40 minutes. (Hence the desire to pre-order.) The flavors and texture was perfect, but it was rather oily. Finished with a very nice dessert. Oversll a good experience Too bad thier lack of up-front customer servive is so lacking.

Really good tapas, especially the croquetas which come in 3 or 4 varying flavors. The tapas are so good we always end up getting them and not the paella, but we really are going to get the paella soon, especially as they have one with rabbit!

We were well served and enjoyed the white sangria while our order was prepared The apps of fried calamari and papas bravas were excellent and the Paella dishes were outstanding for the vegetarian and meat eaters

Waited an hour for brunch. Two people told us our order was coming, but it was only when we asked a third time that the waiter said the kitchen lost our ticket with only 5 tables in the restaurant. On top of that, people who ordered after us received their meals… I can handle waiting and mistakes are made, just don’t lie about it.
