The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. Dined on 28th Dec 24. Food beautifully cooked and presented. Bruschetta simply done and really tasty. Mains Ckn and ginger stirfry tasty and supplemented with rice. Dessert Chocolate fondant to die for. Service excellent, attentive without being intrusive. I cant wait to go to this restaurant again.

Fabulous Afternoon Tea at Ashford Castle 😊 From the moment we arrived on the grounds of the Castle we were looked after…The Castle was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Our booking was in The Connaught Room & the room is exquisite…the food was amazing & there was a big selection of teas. Loughlan looked after us very well. Would definitely recommend Ashford Castle for Afternoon Tea.
