Opened on December 13, 2014 (yes, 12/13/14!) in a historic building at the corner of Woodward and Canfield. The Huma Room on the second floor features half of a black 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood mounted behind the wall and an outdoor patio. Located on Woodward Ave, it's easy to jump on the QLine or walk down to Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, or Ford Field. HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options. We live the craft lifestyle - beer, cocktails and even craft food made from scratch.     Had a reservation for 9 for lunch on Black Friday. Marcella was our server, bartender and food runner and she did a great job. The drinks were delicious and everyone enjoyed their tacos. We will definitely be back again.

    Our first thought for a pre game brunch. We love the eggs Benedict- simply the best- and the rest of the menu is great! Service is fantastic. Billy is such a great host and rep for the restaurant. It’s lively and fun with a great location. A gem in downtown Detroit

    Burrata, crab cakes, carrots, corn, filet with zip sauce, and chocolate temptation were all very good. Great ambience and service. A bit pricy but all fine dining is in today's economy. Will be back for sure.

    Our advice is: dont put too much effort on deciding, as everything is absolutely amazing! We've been coming here everytime we came to Detroit since 2022 and we've seen our share of new dishes everytime... and tried them. No regrets whatsoever!
