Our casual restaurant and bar focuses on authentic dishes from our favourite regions of Spain, Italy and Portugal. Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The open pass from the kitchen allows guests to see our kitchen in operation and all this leads to creating a lively buzz and great atmosphere.

The only negative was the steak was well done not medium rare which the staff rectified & it was very tasty but when we went to pay the bill the steak has been deducted - a nice touch, thank you, we will be back x

We ate in the bar area as we were with our dog & loved the new tables & chairs! The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The food was delicious.

Lovely evening ,excellent table service. Disappointed no appropriate sauces for the meals and would have been better to have the curry served with poppadoms/naan bread. All food was tasty and gd portions.
