When I was a child I grew up with my mother, grandmother and aunt. All of them were very good in the kitchen. They had different styles and they cooked every day. From ravioli, soup or patisserie, everything was made from scratch. Those ladies were my teachers. My first lesson was dishwashing, later it was helping as their assistant. To honor those amazing woman who helped me in my early days, I decided to open Tarquin to bring Sioux Falls our flavors, recipes and dishes. Tarquin is a piece of Buenos Aires in a remote corner of Sioux Falls commercial district. You are always going to be welcome here and we will always offer you our best.

Riccardo and Marybeth welcome you to their 3rd property, Maribella Ristorante. Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, and Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. La decoración integra sin miedo elementos masculinos y femeninos: el Salvaje Oeste se une con el concepto romaní... desde el bar panelado de piel, la barra de cuarcita del bar, los reposapiés elaborados con vías de tren de hierro y las mesas de madera recuperada hasta azulejos vintage. papel tapiz adornado con piedras preciosas, candelabros marroquíes y columnas indias antiguas... ningún detalle queda al azar. Lo mismo se aplica a la comida: desde filetes de res de primera calidad hasta salmón salvaje, todos los elementos se cuidan con esmero. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.     I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! It’s a truly authentic, family-owned gem that made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. As someone who eats gluten-free, I’m always a little nervous about dining out, but they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. The waiter was an absolute sweetheart—so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Every dish was incredible, and honestly, this was the best gluten-free food I’ve ever had. You’d never know anything was GF because the flavors were that amazing! If you’re looking for a place that combines warm hospitality with outstanding food, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

    The staff did such a great job taking care of us! I called ahead of time to let them know I would be proposing on Valentine's Day. They were quick to make sure we had a great table, a rose for her, complimentary Champagne and dessert. The best part was that all I asked for was help taking pictures, they went all out and were at the ready with a Polaroid camera and made my fiance feel so special. Thank you for being part of our perfect night ❤️
