Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. A brilliant lunchtime experience. Home made soup and a really great carvery. All with that special atmosphere you only get with ancient oak beams and an open fire. Staff were efficient and attentive. Highly recommended.

Dined here whilst staying in Ludlow for few days. Food was absolutely amazing and staff very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely dine here again and would definitely recommend it as a must place to dine

Consistently good food. Gluten free and dairy free options. Friendly staff who are helpful. Exceptional clean and welcoming atmosphere. They do allow dogs.

An excellent Christmas day menu, lovely food and good service. I attended with my 93 year old mum and disabled brother, who both told me they really enjoyed their experience. We have used the restaurant several times before, usually for larger family get togethers. Always good and we will continue to use. Recommended for any occasion.
