Welcome to Sugar Boat - a relaxed & informal neighbourhood bistro in the heart of the town on Colquhoun Square, a stones throw from the sea front. We are open daily from 7.30am (8.30am on Saturday & 9am on Sunday's) through until late. We serve everything from breakfast with a cracking fry up or eggs benedict with or avocado & poached eggs on toast. For lunch & dinner we offer a la carte menus. Lunch is the more informal with burgers, fish & chips & daily sandwiches. Dinner can be a little more special. Cakes, scones & savoury snacks are available all day. We have a Wine Shop for off sales from our extensive list of over 100 wines - everything from £9.50 per bottle upwards. We also have tea and coffee facilities in the room with delicious Scottish biscuits included.Breakfast is included in our room rates and we also have a restaurant and bar onsite with a full food and drinks menu and afternoon tea is also available.Well behaved dogs are welcome in our beer garden.

As ever the Cullen Skink was very tasty. The toast was a little on the overdone side though. The haggis starter size was just right and also very tasty. Service was very prompt.

Ist visit to Karma Lake. Very impressed. Beautiful location despite the weather being poor in the day. Definitely be going back in the summer to try out the BBQ cook outs plus boat trips to the Island on the lake. Food was amazing and great service.

Slightly disappointed as we had look at the online menu and decided that it was a good choice and had a few options that we were going to choose. Got there (15th Feb) and found only a limited Valentines menu was available and the options from the main menu that we would have chosen were not available.
