Good choice of dishes. Food very well presented and had lovely flavours.

Sunday lunch was delicious and both myself and my partner had no trouble with clearing our plates. The portion size of our lunch was very good and all cooked just as we like. The only negatives I would say was that I have never paid for a glass of soda water before and the size of our malteaser cheesecake was embarrassingly small for the £8:95 that we paid for it. I do think a small dessert is good after such a lovely meal but I did feel this was overpriced. Other than those small niggles we had a lovely meal and I would recommend.

We were looking for somewhere special to take my Mum for her birthday and The Wheatsheaf was everything that we had hoped and more. The menu was varied but not so many options that you felt overwhelmed. The food was all delicious, perfectly cooked. The staff were all kind and friendly. Having mentioned when booking that we would be celebrating a birthday, there was even a birthday card waiting for my Mum. We would definitely return for another special meal.

Excellent quality food in a relaxed environment. Great for a catch up with friends - not too loud to chat!
