The Michelin Starred, Fordwich Arms, located in the smallest town in England, dates as far back as 1828. Draped in ivory and wisteria in the most picturesque location over looking the Great River Stour, the perfect setting for an idyllic summers lunch. Daniel and Natasha Smith took over The Fordwich Arms in 2017 and were awarded a Michelin Star within the first year, as well as being in the top 100 gastro pubs in the UK, multiple culinary awards, notable wine awards and various other accredits, a testament to their hair work and talent. The seasonal menus focus on provenance, showcasing the best of local Kentish ingredients, sourced directly from local farms and producers.     Having travelled to London in the past and enjoyed afternoon teas in various locations, we were very pleased that the newly opened Canterbury Ivy were offering Afternoon Tea. We cannot speak too highly of our whole experience. The three tiered selection, together with side plate of warm scones, all looked and tasted delicious - the savoury and sweet items, each with its own lovely flavours. The service was excellent - efficient, friendly and helpful, all of which created a very relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning

    Lovely restaurant with excellent staff, food, ambiance. I wear a hearing aid and can struggle in the noisy middle of restaurant seating, so they always respond to my request of a table at the edge and give us the lovely table near the window in corner where it is raised up. There are some outstanding dishes on the menu, corn ribs, chicken65, Kerala fish curry, biryani to name a few. Drinks are a little pricey, but food is reasonably priced for the quality. Friendly people, we’ll be back!

    Great bottomless brunch for 10 of our friends. Being a birthday they made it extra special! Giving the birthday girl a sparkler. Ordering a special drink with her photo on it. Food was delicious. Plenty of drinks flowing. Great Service.
