Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. El restaurante recomienda a los clientes fijarse en su homónimo al cruzar el umbral, donde aún sigue el logotipo original de Crawford de 1963. La decoración integra sin miedo elementos masculinos y femeninos: el Salvaje Oeste se une con el concepto romaní... desde el bar panelado de piel, la barra de cuarcita del bar, los reposapiés elaborados con vías de tren de hierro y las mesas de madera recuperada hasta azulejos vintage. papel tapiz adornado con piedras preciosas, candelabros marroquíes y columnas indias antiguas... ningún detalle queda al azar. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. With a curated wine list, local craft beer on tap, and beautifully executed menu, Riccardo and Marybeth are thrilled to bring R Wine Bar & Kitchen to the East Bank of Downtown Sioux Falls along with their General Manager, Jane Allen, Assistant Manager Bailey Bernal, Sous Chef Caleb Carr, Sous Chef Esteban Gonzalez, and Culinary Director Adam Schumacher.

Perfect place for a quiet couple dinner enjoying a glass of wine, a quality plate of pasta and a scoop of gelato or affogato. The lobster pasta (sorry - horrible with the Italian names) was delicious - as has been anything we try. The service is knowledgable, friendly and prompt. Not our first time - it is a regular stop!

We split the 12oz delmonico ribeye, with the Boursin mash potatoes and mushroom topper. It was delicious!! Drinks were good, the Pom Martini was yummy. My husband tried the manhattan but it was okay he is not fond of rye whiskey. Of course we had to dessert, my husband loves the traditional grasshopper milk shake with alcohol, it was very good, could have been slightly 5hicker. I had the death by chocolate cake, well only a small portion and brought the rest home.
