Built in the early 17th century, this grade two listed pub is the oldest coaching inn in Frodsham, originally having stabling for 23 horses. There was a mix up around the reservation, they couldn't find it, but they honoured the booking when I showed them the confirmation email, so definitely take that with you, just incase. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were next level, the atmosphere was good, lively, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. I think they will soon be up to speed and will have ironed out any of the teething issues. We will definitely back.

We got in easily but they didn't have our reservation and announced that they no longer use Open Table. Someone from Open Table should contact them and either stop confirming a reservation or restore the account so te customer doesn't get blind sided when they show up on a busy night.

Ordered a mixed grill and a chicken tikka. Got no eggs for the mixed grill, would you like an extra sausage? That was a question! What should I do? I know shall I nip across the road to the co-op and get some? No your alright. When it came the size of the gammon steak was massive. Food was OK but not presented very well. But it was a night out with my boy so it didn't matter.
