The building was originally the grocery section of the J.F. Cairns Department Store dating back to 1907.     A truly lovely evening. Chef Brian and the staff at Grouse took such great care of us. From our coats being checked to our prompt payment being taken, each step of our evening was thoughtful and effortless. Service was unobtrusive but precise with plates and cutlery being switched and wine and cocktails constantly flowing. The scallop dish was my star of the evening with a beautiful balance of rich flavours. It is so wonderful to see the menu change by season. I highly recommend placing your trust in this staff to deliver a spectacular dinner.

    Our experience was very positive. Everything that one would expect in fine dining, including the price $$$$$. Aaron took very good care of us. Kudos. Caesar Salad preparation (don't remember the waiter's name) and the steak prep at the table were fabulous. The only disappointment was the Argentinian Malbec that we chose (2021 vintage; I don't remember the name of the Vintner). It did not meet my expectations, but that is purely a matter of personal taste. The email notification indicated Formal Dress but the majority of patrons and staff were dressed almost casual (small irritation).
