Located in the historic end of the High Street, our aim is to create a relaxed friendly atmosphere while serving the finest comfort food & craft cocktails.We create the magic by slow cooking our ribs and hand pressing our steak burgers in house. We look to support other small family run businesses and source all our produce locally, from the butcher to the baker. This allows us to maintain the best possible quality. Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage.     The Lodge is our “local” and since its revamp it is our first choice when eating out with friends and family. We are always made to feel welcome, staff are friendly, and service, no matter how busy, is mostly pretty good. The Menu choice is excellent-we’ve eaten some pretty special, new to us, dishes. If we have negative is that portions are too generous no matter which menu we choose from, and that includes the Children’s Menu! A big Thank-you to all at the Lodge.

    I booked our table on line so easy to do . 4 people Took mum and dad me and my fiancé. Zoey was brilliant and she was so attentive to my mum . The food was lovely Sunday roast , shepherds pie, the ivy burger and supreme chicken all dishes were delicious 😋 We have had great service and good food every time we go . Highly recommend a visit .

    Our first time and we were not disappointed ..Excellent happy efficient staff.. great service… pretty good wine too… BUT..! Eyes bigger than belly … after a shared starter of Nachos and corn ribs .The O Carolina was at best only half demolished .. lovely as it was … no starters next time …👌🤩🤩🤩🤣.. Would certainly recommend for all you burger and Southern fried chicken connoisseurs…..👌
